The twilight zone
Shane developed and sold a reimagining of The Twilight Zone to CBS, positioning the iconic series for a new era of storytelling shaped by modern technology.
The project moved into pilot development, with Shane working alongside Ken Levine (creator of BioShock), who was set to make his directorial debut on the episode. Together, they explored how emerging technologies could become a core narrative engine, grounding the series’ signature psychological and moral themes in contemporary, tech-driven realities.
In addition to the pilot, Shane developed broader concepts for the series, outlining a new direction for the anthology format. While the project ultimately did not move forward, it represented a bold take on how a classic property could be reimagined through a modern lens.
