Every Halloween, Hulu curates past horror movies and tv show episodes for a seasonal anthology.
One year, Shane did something different.
How it worked.
At first blush, all the movies and episodes are what they claim to be, stand alone films. However, each story (e.g. Amityville Horror, The Shining, Psycho) features a house. And when you pay close attention, you realize all the houses across all the programs are the same house. (Thank you, clever CGI.) From a VR lobby (the house in question) audience members can see how all episodes and films bleed together in one overarching universe. Two bonus VR episodes offered additional perspectives on the anthology.
